What do QR codes mean for the business or the consumer?
QR Codes are gateways for consumers to learn more about products and services offered. Most times a business that is showcasing a product or service in an advertisement give key or generalized points due to space or time available. QR codes make it easy for a consumer to ‘point’ their device and instantly be given more details. This usually comes in the form of a website, but could be contact information, coupons, offers or more.
For example, a company is looking to recruit while a potential employee wants more information than what they saw on the ad. Rather than typing out a long website, or navigating through links on a webpage, the QR code would link them directly to the information with very little effort. He or she would now be able to take that information and view it later on as well.

Where do I find QR Code Readers?
QR readers are available for most ‘smart devices with a camera’ and can be searched in the marketplace on your device or on the web. Free applications are typically available, but there may also premium packages available at low cost which may give you additional features and tools to sort or manage the information.
How simple is it to use?
We have found that most readers are simply ‘point at the screen’ and they give you the information or open a browser and bring you to the webpage directly. Additionally, if you were to take a picture of the advertisement using just your camera, at a later time, you could access your reader and scan pictures on your smart device.
